Its name comes from the fishing activity of the area (sa canna – the fishing rod), in a sea particularly rich in fish. Found within a stretch of coastline called “a rias” for its rapidly changing landscape, from pure white sand to high clay and granite cliffs, the beach of Sa Cannas is made up of rocks of varying sizes. The beach has no facilities, but is loved by scuba fishing enthusiasts or by those simply wishing to dive in its waters.
